Did you know that August 1st is recognized as Emancipation Day in Nova Scotia?!

The Town of Truro is partnering with the Community Enhancement Association – CEA to host two events to commemorate Emancipation Day.
◾️ Emancipation Day Flag Raising – Friday, July 29th, 2022 starting at 12:00pm at Truro Town Hall (695 Prince Street).
◾️ Emancipation Day Community Event – Sunday, August 7th, 2022 starting at 1:00pm at Stan ‘Chook’ Maxwell Memorial Park (264 Prince Street).
