How Local Organizations Can Get Involved

Hot Beverages To Go Counter – 4-Day Time Blocks

We’re partnering with the Truro Farmers’ Market to create a hot beverage counter in the vestibule area of the market where a window opens from the market’s kitchen. Local organizations can book a specific weekend block to serve hot beverages (hot chocolate, tea, coffee, etc.) from the window. The cost to rent the space is $250 including HST for each time block. A time block includes the following hours of service: Thursday from 6pm – 8pm, Friday from 4pm – 8pm, Saturday from 2pm – 8pm and Sunday from 2pm – 6pm. The local organization sets their own rates for hot beverages, and keeps all proceeds. Eligible organizations are any business, non-profit or charity that is a member of either the Downtown Truro Partnership or the Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce. If your organization is interested in booking a 4-day time block, please email: saribel@downtowntruro.ca.

Johnny Long John Scavenger Hunt

We are inviting all businesses and organizations in Downtown Truro to participate in a Johnny Long John Scavenger Hunt as a hunt location. Businesses that sign up will be included as a stop on the festival website for participants, and we will provide you with a window poster to indicate that you are a scavenger hunt stop, as well as a postcard to hide somewhere in your business that features Johnny Long John participating in a winter activity. People will come to your business to find out what Johnny is doing in your location for a chance to win Downtown Dollars. The scavenger hunt will take place from February 3 – February 28, 2022.
