We love YOU for loving local, and we want to show how much we appreciate you for shopping local with a fun, local shopping day! Shops and restaurants all over Downtown Truro will be offering TAX FREE or other amazing specials on February 1, 2020 in their shops.
(*some exclusions may apply)
PLUS, for every purchase made in participating businesses on February 1, 2020, your name will be entered to win an incredible gift basket full of gift cards and items from businesses all over Downtown Truro. The basket is valued over $400 and the more places you shop, the more chances you have to WIN!!!!

The gift basket winner will be announced February 4, 2020 and the prize must be picked up at My Home Mercantile, Truro.

Feb 1 (Saturday) – Love you for Loving Local retail event.
Feb 1 until Feb 29 – Salty Dog Brewing Company is supporting the Colchester Sexual Assault Centre. Buy a pint of “Has Heart Ale” at Nook + Cranny, Sauced & Bellyup and $2.00 goes to the CSAC and you get to keep the glass!
Buy a can of this limited ale at the Salty Dog retail store and $2.00 will also be donated.

The United Way is having their annual Soup Fest at the Truro Farmers’ Market from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Get your ticket in advance from the United Way because this is a marquee event!

Come and listen to lawyer Douglas Ruck tell the story of the No.2 Construction Battalion (also known as the Black Battalion): a piece of Canadian history which, for many years, went untold.
