Santa Claus Parade

November 24

Downtown Truro Santa Claus Parade
Sunday, November 24, 2019
4:00 PM
Theme: Your Favourite Holiday Story or Movie

Truro’s 2019 Santa Claus parade is going to be a sparkly show!
IMPORTANT NOTE: this year’s Parade will be held during the daytime for better daytime visibility.

This year’s theme “Your Favourite Holiday Story or Movie” has endless possibilities: Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol from 1843; Robert L. May’s Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer from 1939; or the movie Elf from 2003! Just pick a story or movie and recreate it on your float!

The more detailed and colorful your entry – the better. We’re looking forward to creative concepts, dazzling colour and lots of twinkling lights, coupled with a healthy dose of glitter and enthusiasm so our annual parade will create a WOW factor like never before!

Route: Departs from Lorne Street, turns right on Queen St., left on Court St., left on Prince St., right on Young St., left on Esplanade, left on Walker St., left on Queen St., right on Lorne St.

Call the DTP office (902) 895-9258 if you have any questions.

Click here for the registration form.

The deadline for registration is November 8th, 2019.
We look forward to your participation!

The Downtown Truro Partnership uses this space to promote events that they are hosting.

The DTP encourages you to like and follow our Facebook feed so you will always have the most up to date information on events, festivals and special offers that are available at our downtown Truro businesses and in our local community.

HOLIDAY GIFT SUGGESTION:
💵 Downtown Dollars 💵

Five quick facts:
1. Downtown Dollars are legal tender (just like CDN currency).
When you pay for something with Downtown Dollars - you'll get change back in CDN currency.

2. Downtown Dollars DO NOT EXPIRE! Buy now, give later - doesn't matter. They're the ultimate gift since they can be used throughout downtown Truro.
If you dig one out from the bottom of your bag next year 😬 - you can still use it!

3. Downtown Dollars support local businesses by putting dollars back into our local community!
(A full list of businesses/shops/services that accept Downtown Dollars downtowntruro.ca/downtown-dollars/)
