MyGrief an Online Resource

Losing a loved a can be painful, confusing and exhausting and sometimes it’s difficult to talk with bereavement professionals about one’s grief. It may be that local bereavement support groups are not offered, or people are unable to receive bereavement support because of scheduling conflicts. Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of many local bereavement groups.
Offered through Canadian Virtual Hospice, MyGrief.ca is a free online resource to help people work through their grief from the comfort of their own home, at their own pace. This platform provides information on many questions those who grieve frequently seek answers to.

MyGrief.ca was developed by family members who’ve “been there,” ... and a team of national and international grief experts. It covers topics such as: understanding grief, managing difficult situations, caring for yourself and making sense of intense emotions.

The content includes messaging to help users to understand that the grief they are experiencing is not uncommon. Strategies to overcome difficulties are presented and key ideas are summarized at the end of each section. MyGrief.ca also includes short video clips of 21 people sharing very personal stories of loss and healing after the death of a spouse, partner, child, parent or sibling. They offer practical advice and insights.
MyGrief.ca is not meant to replace professional counselling or other health care services, it is an online resource that complements existing services.

Please visit: www.mygrief.ca for more information.
