Here is our AGENDA:

Wednesday, September 11

7:00PM – 10:00PM | REN Welcome Networking Reception – Downtown Truro’s Civic Square

Set in the beautifully revitalized downtown Truro Civic Square, delegates have an opportunity to catch up with their REN network (businesses, municipalities, First Nations, service providers and provincial governments), and enjoy appetizers and tours of the newly renovated Colchester East Hants Public Library. The reception is business casual and will be held in outdoor tents.

Thursday, September 12 | Holiday Inn Truro

7:30AM-8:30AM | Buffet Breakfast

8:30AM-8:45AM | Welcome, Agenda Review

9:00AM -10:30AM | REN Updates

While Regional Enterprise Networks address common themes and opportunities in rural Nova scotia, these 15-minute presentations will provide a good overview of the different projects and activities among the 6 RENs.

10:30AM-10:45AM | Nutrition Break

10:45AM-12:00PM | Panel: Immigration successes in business and communities

In this panel, moderated by Kelliann Dean, new CEO of the NS Office of Immigration, you will learn about the current state of immigration in Nova Scotia and hear directly from employers and a settlement organization who are using programs successfully to meet labour needs and build welcoming communities.

12:00PM-1:00PM | Lunch

1:00PM-3:00PM | Afternoon Discussion: Where Are New/Growing Businesses Coming from in NS?

This will be a facilitated discussion where partners can discuss and explore the nature of new businesses in Nova Scotia. Where are we seeing success? How do we collectively build a better ‘new business’ pipeline? How do we foster/encourage new businesses in rural NS?

Did you check out the amazing talent performing in #downtownTruro Aug 21-23?

From talented Matt Robinson Photography:
A few shots from day one and two of the first annual Truro Buskerfest! There was an insane amount of talent from the buskers we were able to see perform. Steve Goodtime, SilverElvis, Rhythm Works, and The Magic of Michael James were able to fill Inglis St in Downtown Truro! Great success! Looking forward to the 2nd annual Busterfest!

Be sure and tell us what you liked most about Buskerfest!
