7:00PM – 10:00PM | REN Welcome Networking Reception – Downtown Truro’s Civic Square
Set in the beautifully revitalized downtown Truro Civic Square, delegates have an opportunity to catch up with their REN network (businesses, municipalities, First Nations, service providers and provincial governments), and enjoy appetizers and tours of the newly renovated Colchester East Hants Public Library. The reception is business casual and will be held in outdoor tents.

In this panel, moderated by Kelliann Dean, new CEO of the NS Office of Immigration, you will learn about the current state of immigration in Nova Scotia and hear directly from employers and a settlement organization who are using programs successfully to meet labour needs and build welcoming communities.

1:00PM-3:00PM | Afternoon Discussion: Where Are New/Growing Businesses Coming from in NS?
This will be a facilitated discussion where partners can discuss and explore the nature of new businesses in Nova Scotia. Where are we seeing success? How do we collectively build a better ‘new business’ pipeline? How do we foster/encourage new businesses in rural NS?
The Downtown Truro Partnership uses this space to promote events that they are hosting.
