Classic rentals has been a one stop shop for any tool or equipment rental needs for over 21 years. This family owned and operated business was originally started in 2003 by Perry and Helen, and 10 years ago their daughter, Nancy Crosby and her husband Randy Crosby bought the business and have kept it successful ever since.

Perry had been in the rental business for a while before starting his own business, the company he worked for sold out to a national company and he eventually decided to open his own business here in the heart of Truro. Classic Rentals thrives on helping people find equipment that will fit their needs and fix their problems and the knowledgeable employees can always lend a hand in instructing customers on their equipment.

Classic Rentals rents a variety of tools and equipment, from rototillers for growing your own produce, to a 55ft towable boom lift. Since it has now hit spring, they now have a variety of whipper snippers/grass trimmers available for rent and for sale. They are one of the few places near Truro where you can get your propane tanks, fork lifts, or RV/Propane vehicles filled.

From the many years Classic Rentals has been in business, they’ve acquired the best quality equipment for you to rent. But they don’t just rent, you can also buy many types of tools and equipment from brands that they use. As a bonus, they service what they sell, unlike many large companies that require you to buy a new piece of equipment.

Many customers come into Classic Rentals with an issue that needs to be solved, the employees pride themselves on being patient with clients and generous in sharing their knowledge with them. Many of the customers/contractors keep coming back to Classic Rentals because of their great customer service and to show their support for the local business.

When looking at a business like this one, that has been around for a long time, it could be easy for inspiring entrepreneurs to feel intimidated. When asked to share any advice to entrepreneurs looking to start a business in Downtown Truro, Nancy Crosby shared that it’s important to look at the long game of owning a business and learn from your past jobs when applying knowledge in your entrepreneurial journey.
