We want to show our appreciation to our community for supporting our small, local businesses while following all public health restrictions, so we’re giving away $250 in Downtown Dollars every week from May 10 – June 11, 2021. As a BONUS, we’ll be mailing out $10 in Downtown Dollars to the first 100 entries we receive for each week of the contest.

You can read the Official Contest Rules for full details, but here are some key points to keep in mind:

Please follow all public health restrictions and guidelines. We are encouraging you to use online shopping, local delivery services and curbside pickup to show your support for our small, local businesses!
Receipts must be from small businesses (less than 25 employees) that are located within the Town of Truro.
The contest is only open to residents of Nova Scotia who are 18 years of age or older at the beginning of the contest period.
Individuals may submit 1 entry per week throughout the contest period.

Annual Santa Claus Parade

Downtown Truro’s Annual Santa Claus Parade is an opportunity for all downtown businesses to have an exciting time. When planning and designing entries, please keep in mind that the purpose of the parade is to provide entertainment, especially for children.

Show Your Badge

We welcome conference and tournament participants to experience everything Downtown Truro has to offer. Attendees of approved and registered events will receive a Downtown Truro discount badge to receive special offers from participating businesses for the duration of the event.
