Tracy Higgins & James Sullivan Owners of Barnyard Grill

After starting their business in 2019 Tracy Higgins & James Sullivan are happy to call Downtown Truro their business’s newest home not on wheels! Barnyard Grill is located at 569 Prince Street. With homegrown proteins, the pair are proud to share their dedication to providing their customers with the best quality product possible.

Barnyard Grills Food Truck

No day is the same for this power duo. “Some days we will be out on the truck, and get a call about one of the animals back at home needing us and somehow we still get everyone taken care of”. Without a doubt, our community has grown to love & appreciate the dedication shown by Barnyard Grill.

Giving back to their community who supported them immensely in the past few years is one of the pair’s strongest values. On a number of occasions, Barnyard Grill has hit the road to feed organizations throughout our community such as the Colchester Food Bank, in addition to many other organizations. “The volunteers do not get enough recognition, we will take the food truck out to various places, feed them & have fun while doing it”.

Onion Ring Poutine, Golden onion rings topped with cheese curds and beef gravy!

Rodeo Bagel Fried egg, your choice of bacon or ham, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo on a toasted bagel

“Our hamburgers are definitely our customer’s favourite, but the poutines are definitely popular for our younger crowd”. Their menu displays a large variety of food, including their most popular, burgers and poutine. Make sure to check it out, there is something for everyone!

Two words Tracy would use to describe being a business owner would be exciting & scary at the same time. “You can do what you want to a certain degree, there are so many people out there to help you”. Some additional advice Tracy offers to new entrepreneurs is “Don’t be afraid to ask questions”.

Something interesting the public may or may not know about Barnyard Grill is that in the fall of 2021, they were awarded “New Small Business of the Year” by the Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce. We encourage you to come to Downtown Truro & visit Barnyard Grill at 569 Prince Street. Don’t forget to follow them on Facebook & Instagram to stay up to date on where they will be visiting this summer!
